When you find $660 round-trip airfare to Tokyo, you pack your bags, so we did. We mostly followed the Tōkaidō route from Tokyo to Kyoto, staying a week in each city. We also journeyed up to Hokkaido to see the sakura and spent a night in a ryokan at the foot of Mount Fuji.
