Our goal now is to visit a pub. Weirdly, pubs seem to be dying in England. Apparently, nearly 400 pubs closed in London in just the first half of 2023. It's something I thought was part of the fabric of British life, but soaring costs in London are both making it hard for pub owners to operate and for city dwellers to afford to go out drinking.
