Next door to her bedroom, Queen Marie had her own writing room. It's called the Berchta Room (one of the more memorable room names from the Neuschwanstein board game), after the mother of Charlemagne. Her story and that of her more famous son are depicted in this room. The Wittelsbachs believed they were descendants of Charlemagne, hence all this.
