The museum spends a fair amount of time discussing the post-war reconstruction of war-damaged buildings, many of which were specifically associated with the Nazis. Many Nazi buildings were used as offices of the Allies during occupation; they were eventually transferred to the Bavarian government for civic use. Others were destroyed, but then rebuilt in the original style, bringing Nazi memories back to life.
