Yep, the Army was hoisted by their own petard. The Hittinator was ordered to infiltrate the DAP but ended up taking it over as it mutated into the NSDAP (National Socialist German Worker's Party, aka Nazi Party). He was supposed to be a double agent but he actually agreed with the far-right ideas the DAP was founded on, and became their best mouthpiece and ultimately their chairman.
