This square, which now houses a bunch of museums on Greek and Roman antiquity, themselves housed in 19th-century neoclassical buildings (such as on the left), is actually most (in)famous for The Hitler. The Königplatz was Hitty's preferred venue for Nazi party mass rallies. He cared a lot about art, and so this setting was a favored one, in line with his aesthetic.
