Continuing our walk, we came to the Makartplatz, featuring the Holy Trinity Church (with the black dome), and this sculpture called "Caldera." Also on this square is the Mozart Residence (Wohnhaus), where Mozart lived from age 17 to 25. Mozart was already famous at age 17 and the money from his successful touring paid for his family to move here from their cramped apartment in the Old Town. From the perspective of this photo, the house is behind me, to my left if I turn around to face it. The house was bombed in WWII so this is a reconstruction.
