So, we just came out of the Dome des Invalides, housing the Royal Chapel and all of the famous tombs. But the Hôtel des Invalides was originally a large home-and-hospital for veterans, and the chapel was a chapel. So the rest of this complex is the hospital-and-home part. It has now been converted into various museums.
