That train leaves out of Paris Gare de l'Est, which is almost next door to Gare du Nord. Paris, like many large European cities, has several rail termini which are not directly connected to each other. Luckily for me, the one with trains to Munich and the one with trains to CDG airport are walking-distance neighbors.
