This is the first site we visited to have been built under British rule. Built in 1921, it memorializes members of the British Indian Army who died in WWI. Amusingly, through the gate you can see a 2022-constructed statue of Subhas Chandra Bose, who we learned earlier fought against the British. It used to be a statue of King George V so talk about a reversal (the KGV statue was removed in 1968 and this canopy was empty from then until 2022)
