travel log
While its common name is used to suggest that this was the residence of a Turkish Queen whom Akbar took as his wife, there is no historical support for this. The women's palaces were generally kept in another area, the zenana (the harem, essentially) which was not accessible from this part of the complex. Most likely, it was just another mini-palace used by Akbar himself.
