Finally, we visited some other artisans. We visited a potter, who really wanted us to stay for tea, but we were ushered on by our guide. However we were assured, he just really wanted to show us hospitality, not hard sell us things. Basically these communities aren't dependent on tourism, so they don't have to tout it up with wypipo. Locals actually buy their wares, so they can support themselves without extending beyond the local economy.
