We were taking the Red Bus primarily as a form of public transportation. While in many countries in Europe, the Red Bus can be very expensive (over $30 and as much as $50 for one day depending on the city), it was under $15 for a day in Joburg and would allow us to easily get to the Apartheid Museum, which wasn't well connected to the city's public transportation.
