He and his wife lived here until at least 2011, when this plaque was installed (although I think he had other homes too during this time, particularly as Archbishop of Cape Town). Vilakazi Street is considered to be the only street where two Nobel laureates lived, although they never lived here at the same time. Tutu seemed more baller, as he stuck it out here very intentionally, while once Mandela was MegaFamous he only lasted 11 days before fleeing to ol' Houghtony McHoughton.
