After visiting the 'papyrus factory,' we were taken to a 'resort' where we could wash up before getting on the train bound for Aswan. Ultimately though we just sat at tables, ordered an extremely cheap buffet dinner, and smoked shisha (which, if you don't know, is the water pipe used for smoking tobacco) Bound for Aswan, some of us were going on an overnight seater train and others ('the softies') had opted to upgrade to a sleeper compartment on a later train. Pictured here is the table composed of most of the 'cool kids' (myself included) who opted for the seater train.
