We stop in Aqaba for about an hour before boarding the ferry back to Egypt. I grab this picture which really shows how ubiquitous those pictures of King Abdullah are. I seriously don't think there was a single shop in Aqaba that didn't have at least one in the window. I think to myself, even if he is a lovely guy with a high approval rating, he can't possibly have a 100% approval rating, can he? So I wonder if the pervasiveness of his photo is government propaganda or if Jordanians simply succumb to peer pressure even if they aren't huge fans of his policies.
