Our tour of Jordan began in Aqaba, located on the very thin strip of Red Sea coastal land under Jordanian control. Most of the coast on the east bank is under Saudi Arabian control. As we walked around town we passed through a small open-air market where meat was being sold. Here you can see goats being hung for display. There was also a kid sitting on a stool yelling rhythmically into a megaphone, but every time I tried to capture what he was saying, he noticed my camera and shut up. (Apparently he was yelling the price of the meat.)
