This was however a decent segue into us walking back through the tunnel to the Fram, as, among a zillion other things, this exhibit does mention that "Amundsen returned from the Gjøa expedition as a hero and his next goal was clear: to be the first at the North Pole. This he planned to do by repeating [Nansen's] drift with Fram across the Arctic Ocean, but further north so that the Pole could be reached."
