The gallery was huge, containing far more pieces of Munch's art than I thought we would see. Categories such as "love," "gender," "shadow," "death," and "isolation" served to organize the exhibit, each with text discussing said theme in relation to Munch's work (e.g. "In Munch's motifs, love is both tender and painful at the same time... Perhaps Munch himself perceived love to be full of conflicts, seeing as he once described it as a fight between two people")
