This drawing from 1890 depicts an onibaba, a demon woman who takes in traveling guests. However, when she leaves the house, the guests snoop around and find bones from her past victims. Here she returns to find them snooping. The museum then asks, "Is this woman an onibaba? Or is she demonized as an oni because she is a misunderstood elderly woman living alone in far away mountains?" Weird question to ask, museum, considering you just told us she is a cannibal.
