We were ready to head on from El Malpais, but instead of heading back the way we came, we continued south, as the route through the park would actually end up a shortcut to our final stop of the day. We came to this turn-off, a direct way to Pie Town, which was on the way to our final destination and contained the Pie-O-Neer Pies we had looked up earlier.
