Indeed the entirety of US 50 was closed in both directions for the vast majority of the day (these closures are scheduled to go on for months) with very small windows each day where traffic can pass, and even then only in one direction at a time. We will have to time our departure from Gunnison tomorrow morning just right to make it through.
