We traveled overnight in coach from LRK to STL. A lot of Amtrak connoisseurs turn their nose up at the idea of an overnight in coach, coming across as online pushers for the expensive sleeper car accommodations. I find this kind of weird, as nobody really bats an eye at taking an overnight international flight in coach and sleeping on the plane. The Amtrak coach seats are twice as comfortable as economy air seats.
