The next day was technically a free day in Aqaba. As I mentioned before, I'd been trying throughout the trip to arrange a daytrip to Jerusalem. Each guide had kicked the can down the road. Today was the last free day of the trip, and it was my last chance to make this happen. Unfortunately, Ogla was not interested in helping, and there was nobody for him to kick the can to: the trip would be ending in a few days. The dream had died. So, I took the money I had put aside for a trip to Jerusalem and decided to go on the optional tour that was offered today, to the Dead Sea.
