The other famous thing in the Museum is the Hall of Mummies, which has a separate admission fee that is actually higher than the admission fee to see the entire rest of the museum (it's since been moved to a new, separate National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which opened in 2021, but not until after looters chopped the heads off two of the mummies during the 2011 Arab Spring riots against Mubarak)
