While some of the people Zagar includes in his work are neighborhood regulars (like the man referenced in the last photo), most are people Zagar had some personal relationship with. This mural depicts the son of the family who owned this house. The son had been diagnosed with lymphoma, and Zagar knew a lot about chemotherapy because his own grandson had recently undergone it. This mural he hoped would show the boy himself "beautiful and bald" so he could proudly go to school despite what the other kids might say.
