This artifact may in and of itself justify admission to the museum complex. These fragments are from the Kadesh Treaty, a document which may represent the world's first peace treaty. The Kadesh Treaty ended a war between the Hittites and the Egyptians. This version is written in Hittite cuneiform. The other "side" of the treaty, written in Egyptian hieroglyphics, also survives and is in fact carved into a huge wall at the Temple of Karnak in Luxor.
