The next morning, it was time to enjoy Washington's Walla Walla wine country. Described by the New York Times (as propagandized to us on the cover of THE ORIGINAL WALLA WALLA VALLEY WINE GUIDE) as "Napa in blue jeans," the Walla Walla Valley was definitely down-home compared with the Willamette Valley. We started with the tasting room for Seven Hills Winery, located conveniently right in downtown Walla Walla.
