If you don't know, Oregon is known for pinot. And honestly I found it fucking dope as hell that so many of the wineries we visited had tastings like this: five wines, four of them pinots. As opposed to more traditional tastings, where wineries bottle a variety of different grapes and what you focus on in tasting is what each grape brings to the table, here you focus on the terroir and the winemaking process, rather than just "I like this grape more than that one."
