Leaving the soccer gallery, I next stepped into "Acidgest," a "carefully calibrated experiment in sound, sight, and feeling" by artist Haroon Mirza. It is a dark room with colored lights which "[each correspond] to a different electrical frequency and thus a different tone and temporality; together they create an organic, nonmusical rhythm of buzzing, droning, and humming sounds." I found it... unpleasant.
