We stayed at Madame Isabelle's House, which is essentially a hostel. They have dorms, but we stayed in a private room, though in typical hostel fashion we had to share a bathroom with other guests. This was a great value to get us close to the action - just blocks from Frenchmen and a quick walk to the east end of the French Quarter - without paying the exorbitant costs of French Quarter hotels.
