Here's what's maybe the coolest thing about visiting Yaxha: you can climb the original faces and stairs of the temples (see the guy in blue), unlike Tikal. And because it's so uncrowded you can be alone on one of these temples (again, see the guy in blue). Tikal is iconic, but I am really glad we decided to also visit Yaxha rather than do the up-to-Tikal-and-back-in-one-day thing many tourists do.
