Very early the next morning, we had arranged for a driver to take us to Guatemala City, where we would meet our Clark Tours guide for the next leg of our trip. We arranged for the first driver to drop us off at the fanciest hotel in Guatemala City (the Intercontinental Real), as its plush lobby would be a nice place for us to wait for our guide.
