ESCEE.com - 2014 - Fairfield, Dry Creek, and Montgomery Woods - 6/25
Though we may have left Napa County, we hadn't left wine country. We're in neighboring Sonoma County and its Dry Creek wine region. Sonoma is a lot more folksy, less pretentious, and many prefer it to Napa (though it certainly doesn't have the same prestige). The main reason I prefer Napa is that the wineries are all much closer together, and the fine dining options in Napa definitely trump Sonoma. Sonoma is very spread out, but there are some phenomenal wineries there.
