If you recall our winter 2013 album, we visited minibar, Jose Andres' flagship restaurant. Sometime between January and July, the part of the restaurant where we had several of the dessert courses was converted into a separate space, called barmini, with a la carte snacks, a long and interesting cocktail list, and a much less arduous reservations process. Though barmini did not exist when we dined at minibar, apparently minibar folks still enjoy their last courses in the barmini space, but now alongside folks who are enjoying barmini's a la carte menu. One thing that I liked right off the bat, was that without having any idea how much or little we would be ordering from the a la carte menu, we were brought a complimentary "amouse bouche" cocktail
