To the right is the Roma neighborhood of Sacromonte, which we'll be visiting shortly. Many of their homes are built into the hills, topped by the Hermitage of San Miguel Alto, a church built on the site of a former Nasrid fortification tower. The 11th-century city walls that hosted that tower continue to the right.
