We had originally planned to daytrip from Meknes to the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis, but we decided instead to stay in Meknes the whole time. I don't regret our choice: our time in Meknes was the highlight of our time in Morocco and I enjoyed having a slower-paced, more relaxed stay here as a reprieve from the unpleasantness that was Fes.
