Immediately upon leaving the port, we were descended upon by every tout in all of Tangier, trying to lure us to "their brother's" hotel. The train station was a fair walk away from the port, and these touts followed us, matching our gait step for step. They were relentless. Touts in Morocco have an especially bad rep as trying to intentionally mislead tourists to get them into situations where they need the tout's help. But when we finally reached this pleasant pedestrian median, we found the touts finally drifted away.
