One of the museum's displays demonstrates the Science™ behind Gaudi's architecture. These hanging weights are hung from wires. If flipped over, they would form the arches of the cathedral. The bags represent the weight of the roof that the arches must support, so this system enabled Gaudi to calculate the necessary design of the arches.
