On the roof of each building, you can see these small animal statues. The number of animals (between 3 and 10) signifies each building's importance. Also interestingly, the animals (including dragon, phoenix, lion, and various other mythical animals such as something like a unicorn and a fish-beast) are always presented in the same order.
