Sonic Shuffle is Sega's answer
to Mario Party. The main difference between the two games
is that while Mario uses dice, Shuffle uses cards, which Sega says
will impact the game much more, although details on this have not
yet been released. The game also stars Sega's superior cast of characters,
including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and others not yet announced.
The enemy here is not Robotnik as usual, but a new enemy named Void,
who has taken the Precioustones which turn dreams into nightmares.
Sonic and crew must save the day - by playing over 50 different
minigames! After all, why not have fun while saving the day? The
one thing that changes this game and makes it superior to any Mario
Party game is one thing - internet multiplayer. That's right
- Shuffle will feature internet gaming, meaning you and your friends
can battle in minigames against anyone. Finally Sega is putting
its modem to use! The game uses cell-shading in order to
create graphics that appear to be drawn by hand.
