of Mana For: Playstation Genre: RPG Reviewed by: Flarros Developer: Squaresoft Publisher: Square EA Released:6.6.00 AHHHHH!!! WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!? I am a huge RPG fan, but this game was just SAD. If you played Secret of Mana and were looking for a good American release sequel... do yourself a favor and kill yourself now. I know I will. This game was pure hype and no game! Graphics were the worst I've seen from PSX in a LONG time and the controls stutter and are slow. As far as story line... what story line? Its completely non-liner, but it never connects. You have 5000 characters that you have to level up and that means 5000 weapons to buy and 5000 suits of armor. And lets say you want to change the weapon your using. Guess what... you know squat and not only are your weapon skills worthless, but all those skills you worked for your dagger... you can’t use with a sword. The only plus to the game was the sound quality. The ending theme is great in particular, but it’s a sad attempt to save something already dead. Ratings
